Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson (born April 14, 1970) is an American actress, singer as well as a writer and director. Most famously, she is best known for her role on her role in the TV drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Tara Maclay. She also produced, directed and appeared in her own film Chance as well as Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Also, she was a part of the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born January 8 1977. She was born in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson was her artist younger sister. Benson attended the Reform Jewish synagogue while growing up. Her mother was a Southern Baptist and raised Jewish by her father is also Jewish. Benson is a performer featured in a variety of TV and film series after Buffy finished up, including The Killing Jar. Behind the camera, she used her writing abilities to work on the Ghosts of Albion series and directed on projects like 2010's Drones. Buffy claims that she's found and counted at least 1800 Slayers with 500 who work with members of the Scooby Gang. Slayers can be active after their abilities are mature enough. Soledad for example became an Slayer at age sixteen. Ruth Connell will play Rowena in Supernatural Season 10. According to reports, Rowena is a witch from the past.
