Chaka Khan

Chaka Khan, also called the Queen of Funk, is a well-known American singer-songwriter. Over the course of her career, which spans more than five decades, she's been awarded a total of 10 Grammys. Billboard listed her as the 65th most accomplished dancer ever. Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was exposed to jazz music by her grandmother at an early age. When she first started her career she played in various bands. Then, in the near future she would become a member of the group Rufus. With the group, she recorded her first record when she was just twenty-one. The following year, the group won the first Grammy. After a couple of years, she was able to make her debut as a solo artist, and she released her debut self-titled album. Through the years, she has issued a series of albums, including "Echoes of an Era," The Woman I am,' and Funk This. Beyond her contributions to the music industry, she also gained reputation as a charitable persona. Chaka Khan Foundation was established to support children living in poverty families and those with autism. Khan is also a frequent actress. She was Sister Carrie, in the musical "Mama I'm adamant to Sing." Chaka Chaka Chaka
